FEATURES & LIMITS
A practical guide to YouTube actions, account requirements and honest result verification.
Only YouTube is publicly available / Other platforms pending approval
Practical workflows: review YouTube comments and draft replies · prepare a YouTube upload.
Only YouTube is publicly available. Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are pending approval. The current stable client is 0.3.12.
Your assistant checks the exact channel, granted permissions and operation prerequisites before making a proposal. A supported command does not guarantee access on every account.
Browse your owned videos, upload finished files, edit supported metadata and delete exact selected videos after approval.
Read available comments, prepare replies, and manage eligible comments. Comments on private videos are disabled by YouTube.
Create and update playlists, add or remove items, and delete temporary or selected playlists with approval.
Manage supported caption tracks and submit thumbnails. An accepted thumbnail upload may still be visually unverified.
Schedule eligible never-published private videos or new uploads. Calendar review and operator evidence apply to the native upload route.
Apply supported video ratings and inspect available channel/content data. Video ratings are distinct from comment likes or hearts.
Google approved youtube.readonly, youtube.force-ssl and youtube.upload for SocialCli. That approval does not cover Analytics or Reporting scopes.
Full YouTube stats currently relies on Analytics access for video selection. Do not assume a complete performance report is available through the public connection. Your assistant should identify missing access and preserve any usable observations.
Unsupported, unavailable or suppressed metrics are not reported as zero. Counts from different sources can measure different things. Partial inbox coverage does not prove there are no new comments.
With client 0.3.12, your assistant can continue unfinished YouTube stats without repeating completed reads. It can separately recheck details omitted by YouTube while preserving known results. Missing details remain unknown; a partial read never proves deletion or a broken connection. Read the recovery workflow →
A verified deletion uses the receipt and exact-resource absence evidence. Absence from a broad list alone does not prove deletion.
Show the complete preview before a write. Keep its exact proposal and fingerprint after approval. --yes alone does not replace approval or the required fingerprint.
Version 0.3.11 supports --json --json-version 2 for a final structured envelope. Consult installed help for each command’s flags and exit contract. Read progress belongs on stderr; partial results must not be discarded.
Use available resume checkpoints with the same workspace, account and query context. A read failure alone does not authorize reconnecting, resetting credentials or repeating a write.
The time and calendar helpers introduced in 0.3.3 remain available in 0.3.11. Use an IANA time zone, review the resolved instant and allow time for approval.
A native scheduling preflight lists missing evidence before submission. Simulation makes no upload. Owner attestations must record real observations; they are not a substitute for facts or approval of the actual schedule.
The local post template collects the title, supplied media, privacy and truthful audience declaration. It does not upload or approve publication.
The scheduling planner distinguishes a new upload from an existing private video and lists the evidence still needed. Planning does not reserve or publish a video.
Supported commands can save the complete preview with its original ID and fingerprint. Approval and verified readback remain separate.
Structured results preserve usable observations, coverage limits and recovery details. Progress is separate from the final JSON result.
These workflows require client 0.3.11 or later. Read the agent guide and check installed command help. Only YouTube is publicly available.
Internal review reference: the packaged socialcli agent-guide all includes implemented integrations and operator workflows for platforms under review. Those routes are not an offer of public access.
For the current public workflow, start with the AI agent guide and the installed command help.
