Name your brand

Tell your assistant the exact brand and YouTube channel you want to manage. It prepares only the setup you need.

Open your secure link

Your assistant sends a SocialCli sign-in link. Open it in your browser, complete your chosen sign-in method there and approve the assistant’s access.

Choose your channel

Follow the YouTube connection link, authorize access and confirm the channel. Your assistant checks the connection before continuing.

Keep email codes, passwords and tokens out of chat. Connecting a channel does not approve publishing.

What you need.

  • A terminal-enabled assistant on macOS or Linux.
  • Python 3.11 or newer, persistent workspace storage and protected credentials.
  • A YouTube account you own or manage.
  • Your finished media files. Video inspection also requires ffprobe from FFmpeg.

SocialCli works with your originals. It does not generate, crop or transcode media. A chat-only assistant cannot run the CLI.

Already installed?

The current stable client is 0.3.12. Ask your assistant to fetch the installation instructions again and check its active executable with socialcli --version.

Keep your existing workspace, credential store and encryption key. Updating the client does not require creating another brand or reconnecting a healthy account.

Use the published, SHA-256-verified wheel in an isolated environment. GitHub access is not required. Read the installed interaction guide and command help before starting.

The public service is https://pilot.socialcli.app. Reuse an existing bound service and workspace; do not silently replace them. Detailed setup, protected storage and recovery instructions are in the agent guide.
